Mauricio is a disciplined visual learner and communicator. His interest in architecture started in high school were he excelled at his architectural design elective. Later, during his studies at the photography program at Fanshawe College, he translated his visual interests by making most of his assignments revolve around architectural themes. 
Mauricio holds a medical degree with specialization in anaesthesiology and is a Vanier Canada Scholar since 2013. He also has participated in multiple peer reviewed publications.
“I am motivated by colourful images where the visual charge contains diverse and detailed elements. My inspiration for visual communication is Renaissance Perspective. I strive to achieve a realistic and stoic style”.
